About us

Years of field experience,
working under one name since 2023.

Travita did not begin as a business plan. It began as a group of engineers and specialists who had spent years solving the same category of problem — how to make energy, water, food, connectivity and digital systems work in places where the conditions are difficult and the margin for error is small.

Our story

How a long-running way of working became a company.

  • Before 2023

    The experience came first

Long before there was a name, the people behind Travita were working as engineers and sector specialists across energy, water, agriculture, telecom and IT. That work was mostly practical and often in constrained environments: designing systems that had to keep running with unreliable power, limited supply chains and tight budgets. The idea of bringing it together into a single company was discussed for a long time before anything formal happened.

  • 10 August 2023

    The name Travita was adopted

On 10 August 2023 the name was formally assigned and the direction was set: one team, working across sectors that are usually treated separately, under the name Travitatra, for transformation, and vita, the Latin word for life.

  • Since then

    Building out the practice

The work since has focused on turning that experience into a repeatable offer: six sectors, three ways to engage — consulting and studies, project development, and partnerships and funding — plus a growing Digital Public Infrastructure practice, and a dedicated effort to connect Gaza's innovators with partners and funders internationally.

How we work

The things that actually distinguish the way we take on a project.

Engineers, not intermediaries

The people scoping the work are the people who have delivered it. Assessments are written by specialists in that sector, not generalists summarising someone else's report.

Built for hard conditions

Much of our experience comes from environments with unstable power, restricted logistics and limited local supply. Solutions are designed to survive those constraints, not to assume them away.

Cross-sector by default

Energy, water, agriculture, connectivity and digital systems are usually procured separately but fail together. We look at how they interact rather than treating each in isolation.

Clear scope, clear deliverable

Every engagement starts with a written scope stating what will be delivered, in what format, and by when — so there is something concrete to hold us to.

Credentials

What we can evidence, stated plainly.

Our team holds a Harvard University certificate in Humanitarian Response to Conflict and Disaster, has completed United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) training in Digital Public Infrastructure, and is Google Project Management certified, alongside professional certifications in network security, virtualisation and voice systems. Certificates are available on request.

A note on how we describe ourselves. We would rather under-claim than over-claim. Where we list a credential, we can produce the document behind it. Where a project is confidential, we will say so rather than describe it vaguely.

Working with institutional buyers

For NGO, agency and corporate procurement teams.

We understand that a conversation with an agency or a large corporate begins with documentation, not a pitch. The following can be supplied on request, normally within two business days:

  • Certificate of registration and tax registration
  • Company profile / capability statement
  • Bank details for vendor registration
  • CVs of the specialists proposed for your project
  • Statement of our approach to safeguarding, anti-fraud and data protection
  • References, where the client has agreed to act as one

Email info@travita.co stating which documents you need and the process you are running, and we will respond within one business day.
